Digital NDA signing means the recipient reads the agreement in the browser, applies a signature, and only then receives the content. No printer, no scan, no “I’ll sign later.” SendbyLaw’s recipient page is that flow.

This article is general information, not legal advice. SendbyLaw is not a law firm. Have a lawyer review any NDA you rely on.

What gets captured

Typical records include the document text (or a hash of it), signer name, time, and a signature image. SendbyLaw also keeps an evidence-oriented audit trail for assent. That is documentation of what happened on the platform — not a court ruling that the NDA is valid everywhere.

eIDAS, ESIGN, and local law

Electronic signatures are widely recognized, but the exact standard (simple vs. advanced vs. qualified) and exceptions (some real-estate or family acts) depend on country. Do not assume a drawn signature equals a qualified certificate. Ask counsel if the deal is high-stakes or regulated.

Mobile

Most recipients sign on a phone. Keep the NDA readable, avoid forcing desktop-only uploads on them, and use a short link. SendbyLaw’s sign page is built for that.

After they sign

They reach the file or the wrapped URL. You see the signature on the dashboard. You can download executed copies where the product offers them. If you need wet-ink originals, that is a different process — upload your own instructions in the NDA text if counsel requires it.
